Tottenham vs Wolves Preview: Spurs Strong, Wolves Desperate for First Points

Can Tottenham finally break their Wolves curse or will the bottom club spring a shock?

On paper, this is a mismatch. Spurs are flying high in 3rd, Wolves are rock bottom with five defeats out of five and a goal difference that screams relegation (-9). But here’s the catch – Tottenham have struggled against Wolves before. Four defeats in their last five league meetings says it all. Could this be the banana skin no Spurs fan wants to talk about?

Things to Watch Out For

  1. The Curse of Wolves – Tottenham haven’t beaten Wolves often lately, losing 4 of their last 5.
  2. Molineux Spirit at the Lane – Wolves have only lost once in their last eight trips to Spurs. They weirdly love it here.
  3. Wolves in Free Fall – Zero points after five games. The last clubs to start like this (Portsmouth 09/10, Norwich 21/22) went down.
  4. Ange’s Hot Start – Spurs have 10 points from five games, double what they managed at this stage last season. Angeball is delivering early.
  5. Spurs Feast on Strugglers – Unbeaten in 15 against teams starting bottom of the table. The bad news? Their rare defeats have all been to teams starting with “W.” Yes, Wolves fans, take notes.

Win Probability

  • Tottenham: 61%
  • Draw: 22%
  • Wolves: 17%

Spurs fans are confident. Wolves fans? They’re just hoping for their first point of the season.

Standings Check

  • Tottenham: 3rd place (10 points, unbeaten in last 4)
  • Wolves: 20th place (0 points, 13 goals conceded)

Spurs want to keep pressure on Liverpool and Arsenal. Wolves are already fighting for survival.
