Marcus Tavernier scored early in the second half as Bournemouth recovered from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Morgan Gibbs-White had given Forest the lead during an open first half in which both sides created opportunities.
Bournemouth responded through Tavernier in the 54th minute and finished with more possession and attempts, although Forest produced sustained late pressure in search of a winner.
Forest create the better first-half chances
The match produced opportunities at both ends before Forest found the opening goal.
Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams tried his luck from nearly 20 metres, but his effort climbed over the target. Alex Tóth also shot high and wide after being found by Rayan.
Forest carried the greater threat inside the penalty area.
Jair Cunha forced a save with a low effort towards the bottom corner after combining with Omari Hutchinson. Chris Wood then struck the post with a header as the hosts moved closer to breaking the deadlock.
Gibbs-White missed another promising opportunity when he met Wood’s delivery inside the area but sent his attempt over the crossbar.
The Forest midfielder eventually found the goal that his team’s attacking pressure had threatened, putting the hosts ahead before the interval.
Tavernier brings Bournemouth level
Bournemouth began the second half looking for a response and found their equaliser in the 54th minute.
Tavernier had already tested the Forest goalkeeper with a powerful effort from around 15 metres. He made his next opportunity count, scoring to bring the visitors level at 1-1.
The equaliser reflected Bournemouth’s growing influence over the contest.
They finished with 56 per cent possession, completed 461 passes and attempted 17 shots. Forest recorded 10 attempts from 44 per cent possession.
Despite Bournemouth’s greater volume of attacks, only four of their shots were on target. Forest tested the visiting goalkeeper three times.
Both managers turn to their benches
Forest made several changes after Bournemouth’s equaliser.
Taiwo Awoniyi replaced Wood in attack, while Ryan Yates and Nicolás Domínguez were introduced in midfield. James McAtee later came on for Hutchinson as Forest searched for greater creativity during the closing stages.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola responded with changes of his own.
Ben Gannon-Doak replaced Tóth before Amine Adli and Justin Kluivert were among three players introduced in the 73rd minute.
The substitutions brought fresh energy but did not produce the decisive second goal.
Forest finish strongly but cannot find a winner
Forest increased the pressure during the closing stages, using corners and attacking set pieces to push Bournemouth towards their own penalty area.
The hosts won six corners during the match, twice Bournemouth’s total, and generated a sustained spell of late pressure before a medical stoppage interrupted their momentum.
Bournemouth survived that period and managed the remaining minutes without conceding.
The visitors produced more shots and controlled more of the possession, but Forest’s first-half chances and late pressure ensured the points were shared.
